Why bearing water, and why being an interestgroup?

Without looking so, this site is about fighters.

There is a problem to this subject that we take verry serious, and that is all those brave heroes in SCA tournaments keep forgetting a verry basic thing: Their health. Not only during fightig, but also in between.

They simply are running the risc of dehydration syndroms, and a part of this is loss of conciousness in an accellerating process. Never trust a Fighter who says he doesn't need a drink or has no time to drink while running through the list field for hours under a meat eating sun (we preferably do this in high summer).

But also there is need for water supply for spectators collapsing in the sun while all this takes place...

Any way, we believe there is a need for a water supply infra structure on any of those events you might recognize in the description above, and thus the goal is to have this solved by an interestgroup that takes care for its kingdom. We want any autocrat to be aware of this problem, provide information on it and simply be there ourselves when ever we can.

Such an idea, however, heavily depends on insight, both of the fighters and site autocrats, and there might even be people who should be taken out of action for their own sake even if their own words in that very moment don't suggest it.... And this needs an official statement. This is why we want an interestgroup in our kingdom.

By no means, this takes over the responsibility of any given autocrat nor shall this inflict any well thought measures taken by them in advance. It is just a signal that we believe is important enough to be set and our suggestion to be there if need arises.

Our hope is for support on this idea by the kingdom, the fighters and the folks who enjoy the tournaments. That is why we want a guild. Waterbearers are no slaves to the rest of the happenings, they actively care for their friends in field.
